Department offers M.Sc. Chemistry and Ph.D. courses at University campus.
The Department has been recipient of the major equipment grants under has been recipient of the major equipment grants under FIST program of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and BSR grant of the UGC. The department focuses on both - the updated teaching curriculum providing a choice of elective courses and opportunity to undertake a research project to PG students. Many Faculty members receive financial support for research from various Government funding agencies including SERB-DST, UGC and a large number of research scholars have UGC and a large number of research scholars have UGC/CSIR research fellowship. During recent years, several Ph.D. student have joined post-doc positions abroad. National and international collaborative interdisciplinary research projects are also being carried out simultaneously.
Local Chapters of three eminent national scientific societies Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), Bengaluru; Indian Society of Chemists & Biologists (ISCB), Lucknow and Society for Materials Chemistry (SMC India), Mumbai also function from the Department and organize various academic and student-recharging activities under these banners.
