Department of Mathematics

The University Department of Mathematics was established in 1960 in pursuance of the general policy of the University of Rajasthan to expand facilities for post-graduate and research studies by starting a new department, especially in the faculty of science at Maharaja College. The Department got its permanent abode on the second floor of the Vigyan Bhawan on the University Campus in 1964. M.A./M.Sc. and Pre-Ph.D. classes are held in the Department of Mathematics and the undergraduate B.A./B.Sc. classes are being run in the three University Constituent Colleges of the University, namely Maharaja College, Maharani College, and Rajasthan College.
